MAGIC THEATER- ONLY FOR THE CRAZY - A new format is emerging
I have been studying the psychology of C.G. Jung for a long time. Many of my artistic works have emerged from my interest in inner images, archetypal structures and the various parts of the self. The texts of Hermann Hesse were also very close to me from a young age. I recently came across the book "Der Steppenwolf" again. In the process, I came across the "Magic Theatre" - a space that can be seen as an inner space of experience, in the sense of a psychological and social field of tension.
What particularly interests me about it is the quiet rebellion against standardized identity, but also the simultaneity of contradictory states. Different personality traits exist side by side. Individual dark sides stand next to collective ones. I find this diversity in my graphic works. Looking back, it seems to me that my pictures have been moving in this direction from the very beginning.
This has now given rise to the desire to make this space concrete - a traveling stage that changes and re-forms depending on the exhibition space. Each location creates a new constellation, a new space of experience.
At the same time, the search for a concrete space is now beginning where the Magic Theatre can be realized in this format for the first time. I'm already curious to see where the journey will take us...
